Taliban have plunged Afghanistan country into chaos as they took over the control of the country when the American forces were pulled out from the country. The Afghans living outside the country are angry at the world community for "abandoning" them, much of that anger is directed towards the United States.

The Biden administration has been accused by many, like former US ambassador to Afghanistan Ronald Neumann, of giving a "profound shock" to the Afghan army and morale by pulling out. Many Afghans were seen clinging to the US military planes in Kabul in a desperate bid to flee their home country after the Taliban's easy victory over an Afghan military.

Speaking on the Afghanistan crisis, US President Joe Biden said, "Our mission in Afghanistan was never supposed to be nation-building or to be creating a unified, centralized democracy." He added, "I've argued for many years that our mission should be narrowly focused on counter-terrorism, not counter-insurgency or nation-building." He said he stood behind his decision to withdraw the US troops.

Maxar Technologies recently shared satellite images from Hamid Karzai International. The airport in the capital city of Kabul showed the desperation of Afghan nationals to flee from their home country due to the terror created there. When the international governments started airlifting their officials, thousands of people on the airport tried to break free from the Islamist hard-line organization's rule. Amid the chaos, two armed men at the airport were killed by US soldiers, a Pentagon official said. Some desperate Afghan nationals held on to a US military aircraft and plunged to their deaths as it took off. At least three people fell off when the aircraft was mid-air and landed straight onto the rooftops of houses and lost their lives.

On the other hand, Russia's ambassador praised the Taliban's conduct describing their approach as "good, positive and business-like" and said the hard-line Islamist group has made Kabul safer in the first 24 hours than it had been under the previous authorities. "The situation is peaceful and good and everything has calmed down in the city. The situation in Kabul now under the Taliban is better than it was under (President) Ashraf Ghani".

President Ashraf Ghani fled on Sunday as the Taliban took control of the country with lightning speed stunning countries across the world. The Afghan president said he left the country as he wanted to prevent bloodshed. There is no official confirmation of his whereabouts. Ghani fled from Kabul with four cars and a helicopter full of cash.

While Ghani has fled the country, Zarifa Ghafari, Afghanistan's youngest mayor and first female mayor of the Maidan Wardak province said, "I'm sitting here waiting for them (Taliban) to come and they will come for people like me and kill me”. “There is no one to help me or my family. I can't leave my family, and anyway, where would I go?" the 27-year-old added.

Where many are trying to flee away from the country due to the fear for their life, there are some who aren’t willing to leave their home, their family, and their family and would rather stay in their own country and die than leaving it and staying like a refugee in another country.
