A unique initiative for world peace by experts from 80 nations to be held at the end of December in India

A historic event of experts from 80 countries will showcase proven peace-creating technologies of consciousness for world peace from 29 December 2023 to 13 January 2024 at the meditation centre, Kanha Shanti Vanam, near Hyderabad, India.

Notably, the forthcoming gathering of experts is important because conflict and war are growing alarmingly. More conflict will not end wars, and diplomacy appears ineffective. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a radically new approach.

The Assembly will set up an initiative to establish a permanent peace-creating group of 10,000 for the entire world that can create a lasting world peace.

The experts are trained in specific advanced technologies of consciousness, including the Transcendental Meditation (TM) and TM-Sidhi Programme. It was popularised by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the Indian spiritual leader who introduced the practice of Transcendental Meditation to the West.

Maharishi derived these technologies directly from the ancient Vedic science of India.

Furthermore, extensive scientific research has found that these technologies of consciousness create a measurable influence on peace throughout society.

Presently, NGOs in more than 100 countries offer authorised training in these powerful technologies of consciousness, which have been thoroughly validated by modern scientific research.

Significantly, the upcoming Assembly for World Peace near Hyderabad is not just another peace demonstration or a forum for meetings and discussions.

The Assembly will focus entirely on the actual practice of proven technologies of consciousness to radiate a coherence-creating influence of peace throughout our troubled world.

During the last 50 years, more than 750 empirical studies have been conducted at over 200 universities and research institutions in about 100 countries to prove that these technologies work. These studies confirmed the comprehensive beneficial effects of these technologies of consciousness for the physical and mental health of the individual, including reductions in the adverse effects of trauma and stress.

Ongoing studies in the USA show significant reductions in post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression and cardiovascular risk factors.

Other studies have shown marked improvements in performance, creativity, heart health, longevity, and self-actualisation. These changes largely result from increased coherence in brain activity. This normalises overall physical and mental functioning and promotes peak physiological and cognitive performance.

Since the mid-1970s, 54 empirical studies published in leading peer-reviewed scholarly journals or professional conference proceedings have found that groups of experts practising these technologies of consciousness together in one place radiate a powerful influence of coherence in the entire surrounding society.

Findings include significant reductions in violence, crime, accidents, sickness, terrorism and war. Scientists named this “The Maharishi Effect” because Maharishi Mahesh Yogi predicted it in 1962.

Moreover, the Australian government has officially recognised these technologies for crime prevention after studying the scientific findings on the Maharishi Effect.

Dr Tony Nader, the chairman of the Global Union of Scientists for Peace, will attend the event. He is Maharishi’s successor and leads the TM organisations worldwide.
