Srinagar: Indian Army remembers four bravehearts martyred on army attack response to Pulwama suicide attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on their first death anniversary. On February 14 2019 Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) suicide bomber attacked convoy at Letpora in Pulwama and forty CRPF men were killed.

Kamran alias Ghazi Rasheed a Pakistani militant and "chief operational commander" of the JeM was the mastermind of the IED attack on the CRPF convoy. Last year on this day, an operation was conducted by the security forces against the Pakistani militant.

During the encounter four men of the Army — Major Vibhuti Shankar Dhoundiyal, Sepoy Hari Singh, Havaldar Sheoram and Sepoy Ajay Kumar laid down their lives. An IED specialist, Rasheed had trained Adil Dar, the JeM terrorist who drove the explosive-laden vehicle into the CRPF convoy.

"Indian Army 18 Feb 2019…. The bravehearts fought valiantly, displayed exemplary courage; eliminated mastermind of cowardly Pulwama attack and made supreme sacrifice. The proud nation remembers the bravehearts," the Army's Northern command said in a tweet while paying tribute to its soldiers.
