Ayodhya Case SC opts for

NEW DELHI: All eyes go to the Supreme Court of India as the top court takes a final call on the future of the disputed RamJanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case. It would be interesting to see whether the five-judge bench led by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi will go for a formal mediation as they already dropped hints of solving this dispute through mediation.

Most of the parties involved in the case stand against the mediation despite the top court considering this case as not about property, but "mind, heart and healing".

The dispute is all about the 2.77 acres of land in Ayodhya where a 16th Century mosque was built by the Mughal Emperors. Later, it was demolished by some Hindu activists in December 1992.
