According to a notification released by the Defence Ministry, the government has updated the rules of the Army to increase the retirement age of tri-service commander and chief of defence. The decision to amend the rules has been taken so a service chief can be appointed as the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) after retirement.e staff (CDS) to 65 years.
