First woman pilot of Indi

Kochi: Indian Navy's first female pilot, sub-lieutenant Shivangi, joined Kochi's naval operations today after completing operational training. Born in Muzaffarpur in Bihar, Sub-Lieutenant Shivangi completed her School education from DAV Public School. Last year, after her initial training, she was commissioned to the Indian Navy. She said: "I've been looking forward to this for a very long time and it's finally here, so it's a great feeling. I'm looking forward to finishing my 3rd training stage." She will be flying the Dornier surveillance aircraft of the Indian Navy.
