Kerala flood PM grants R

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi took an aerial survey of flood hit areas in Kerala and sanctioned an immediate relief of Rs. 500 crore. The PM announced, the relief measures in a special meeting held at the Naval headquarters in Kochi.

The Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, the governor P. Sadasivam, the chief secretary and other ministers as well attended the meeting. The PM, along with CM, the governor and Union minister Alphons Kannanthanam took the aerial route to have a surveillance of the flood hit areas.

Meanwhile the water level in the Aluva region has come down, which is a boon to the rescue operations in the region. Road transportation has commenced in some areas and food supply has started as well.
