Shri Anil Deshmukh, Home Minister of Maharashtra again received threat calls over his stance against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut. Deshmukh received calls from Himachal Pradesh and from other locations from different numbers.

Sources told media that anonymous callers threatened the minister to not get involved in any action against the actress. Ranaut has been in the eye of a storm ever since she exposed the drug syndicate in Mumbai and likened the situation in the city to that of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).

Kangana recently said that she feared Mumbai Police more than the movie mafia and requested for security from the union government, which was granted.

Deshmukh had said that those who think that Maharashtra or Mumbai is not safe need not live in the state. He expressed surprise over the Y-plus security provided by the centre to Kangana. He said that the government will probe Ranaut’s involvement in consumption of drugs as alleged by actor Adhyayan Suman.
