The runaway victory for Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi elections has once again put the spotlight back on election strategist Prashant Kishore. The star strategist was shunted out by Nitish Kumar from Janata Dal United (JDU) when he voiced his opinion against the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register of Citizens.

Sources have revealed that Kishor is being wooed by JDU’s rival the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) as the party prepares to launch its campaign for the Bihar state elections later this year. A senior RJD functionary not wishing to be named said that the decision to reap in Kishor lies with RJD supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav who is serving a jail term. He further said that Kishor’s unceremonial exit from JDU may establish working chemistry between him and RJD.

Prashant Kishor first came to limelight when he helped the then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi win a third term in Gujarat. He rose to prime prominence when he enabled Modi to win the 2014 landmark elections. Post that success he went on to help Nitish Kumar register victory in Bihar polls in 2015. Further success followed with Punjab in 2017, Andhra Pradesh in 2019 and West Bengal by-polls in 2019, and with his latest success in Delhi in 2020 he has perhaps established himself as the man with Midas touch.
