BSP leader Mayawati has stated that she will join hands with Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming general election in 2109. The Dalit leader while addressing the media said that both the parties will make a joint statement on seat sharing.
Mayawati aims for a non-Congress, non-BJP front as well in the national level as she tries her luck with the Janata Dal (S) in the upcoming Karnataka assembly election. Janata Dal also projects Mayawati as a national face for the next general election.
Mayawati and Akhilesh had teamed up in the recent by-polls in Uttar Pradesh and new partnership triumphed the ruling BJP in a crucial battle. SP-BSP pair rain their hose into the den of chief minister Yogi Adityanath and deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and recovered the seats they won previously.
