Mumbai: Sharad Pawar, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had proposed "working together," but he rejected the offer.  Pawar said he made it clear to PM Modi that working together is not going to be possible for him. "Modi offered us to work together. I told him that our personal relationships are very strong and they're going to stay that way, but I can't work together,"  Pawar said Monday in an interview with a Marathi TV channel.

Pawar dismissed reports proposed by the Modi government to make him the president of India. "But there was a proposal in the Modi-led cabinet to make Supriya  Sule a minister," he said.
