Mumbai: There will be no oath ceremony in Maharashtra without the Shiv Sena, a senior ruling BJP leader said, who took another leap today towards the second term of the chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, in the midst of Sena's persistent demand for top-post rotation between the two allies. The MLAs of BJP voted to elect Devendra Fadnavis as their leader before being sworn in for the second time as chief minister. "There shouldn't be any doubt. We said the mahayuti (alliance) would form the government," Mr Fadnavis said after the vote. So far, the Shiv Sena has stuck to the point it made right after the results of last week's Maharashtra election about a "50:50" deal it said was discussed earlier this year before the national elections.
