On Monday, NCP leader Sharad Pawar said he was not behind Ajit Pawar's decision to partner with the BJP and become the deputy chief minister, stating that his party would form the next government in Maharashtra along with Congress and Shiv Sena. Addressing reporters in the neighbouring Satara district town of Karad, the NCP leader reiterated that it was his nephew Ajit Pawar's decision to partner with the BJP, not the NCP. "It is wrong to say that I have a hand behind Ajit Pawar's revolt," he added.
