Hours after voting started in 13 Jharkhand constituencies for the first phase of state elections, this morning Maoists blown a bridge in Bishnupur in Gumla district. The ruling BJP, which is contesting without an ally for the first time, faces a tough challenge from the united opposition parties in the state elections. A total of 189 candidates are contesting in the first of five phases.
