Kolkata: The assembly of West Bengal passed a resolution on Monday against the Citizenship Amendment Act in the midst of a huge nationwide demonstration against the controversial law and the proposed National Citizens Register (NRC). Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, speaking at the Bengal Assembly as her government moved the resolution, said, "This protest is not only of minorities but of all. I thank my Hindu brothers for leading this protest from the front.  In Bengal, we won't allow CAA, NPR, and NRC. We will fight peacefully."
