Times Group’s Festival of Manufacturing, themed ‘Celebrating 10 years of Make in India,’ kicks off today with industry insights, innovations, best practices, peer-to-peer learning, collaboration, networking, and more.

March 7: Amidst an insightful gathering of luminaries of the business world, the second edition of the Festival of Manufacturing or Udyog Utsav, presented by Exxon Mobil and organised by the Times Group, was inaugurated today at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Delhi. Graced by the Chief Guest, RK Singh, Union Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, and aptly termed ‘Celebrating 10 years of Make in India’ as the theme, the Festival showcases the remarkable progress made in the last ten years, highlighting success stories and charting the way forward for India’s manufacturing sector.

Significantly, the honourable Union Minister RK Singh’s participation underscores the government’s commitment to driving growth and development in the manufacturing sector, particularly in power and renewable energy.

The Festival, or Udyog Utsav, is not only a platform to exhibit products and innovations but also a stage where the government and private sector can highlight their policies, investment opportunities, growth trajectories, and, importantly, Amrit Kaal Vision 2047.
The Machinist, a B2B magazine of Times Group’s Worldwide Media Pvt Ltd, is organising the event.

The guest of honour for the Festival of Manufacturing is Atul Dinkar Rane, OS & Director General BrahMos, DRDO, and CEO & MD, Dr Gnanvatsal Swamy, a mechanical engineer and motivational speaker from BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Swaminarayan Akshardham, Delhi, and Padmashree awardee and skydiver Shital Mahajan.

In a video message before the inaugural, Gnanvatsal Swami shared his thoughts about the connection between spirituality and innovation, saying, “Spirituality has a very big role to play in each and every aspect of life and work. As spirituality transforms, innovation transforms. As spirituality gives a depth of life, innovation gives you the depth of basics and fundamentals. As spirituality works for collective upgradation of values, in the same way, innovation works for the collective upgradation of intelligence.”

Further, expressing his enthusiasm in a video message, Atul Dinkar Rane said, “As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Make in India campaign, let us pay tribute to its profound impact on our defence sector. From bolstering self-reliance to fostering innovation, it has fortified our nation’s security and propelled us towards a future of strength and sovereignty. As a participant and observer of this historic milestone, I eagerly anticipate sharing enlightening anecdotes about how this initiative has moulded India’s defence capabilities at the second edition of the Festival of Manufacturing.”

The other participants are MDs, CEOs, project heads, project directors, plant heads, Coos, CTOs, CXOs and manufacturing leaders to explore the remarkable progress made in the last decade and highlight success stories, innovations, and future roadmaps for India’s manufacturing sector.
On the eve of the inaugural, all the participants and brand ambassadors enjoyed a meaningful interaction at a gala dinner at Radisson Blue Plaza in New Delhi.

The day-long Festival concludes today with the felicitation of Best Brands and Champions of Manufacturing.
Notably, Ace Micromatic Group co-powers The Festival of Manufacturing, with Lenovo and Igus India as its Technology and Associate partners.
