Mumbai: The Shiv Sena, an affiliate of the Maharashtra government's Congress and NCP, is not part of a front set up by various groups to protest Thursday against the Citizenship Act and the National Citizens ' Register. The Shiv Sena had previously supported the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha, but staged a walkout during the vote on it in the Rajya Sabha, saying there was no response to the party's queries on the bill.
