On Friday, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh accused the former state government, led by former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, of using government resources to snoop illegally on the phones of former opposition leaders. Deshmukh added that the State Police Department's cyber cell was directed to conduct a study on the subject. He added that the snooping allegations had come during the creation of the political coalition Maha Vikas Aghadi (NCP-Shiv Sena-Congress), in particular.
