The Kerala government has decided to use the thirty-four-acre land, which was a Coca-Cola facility that has been closed since 2004 as a Covid-19 facility center where around 600 beds will be available for patients.

The Coca-Cola Company is the largest soft-drink company in the world and they sell around 500 different products all around. Since the early 2000s, the criticism of the use of Coca-Cola products, as well as the company itself, faced a lot of criticism over health effects, environment issues, economic business practices, animal testing, and employee issues.

This Coca-Cola plant had been shut down because people had complained that this plant was polluting the environment. This is not the first Coca-Cola plant that has been shut down, but rather many plants have been shut down because of the same reason: polluting the environment.

They have also been accused of dehydrating communities in their pursuit of water resources to feed their own plants, dry up farmers' wells and destroy local agriculture. The Coca-Cola Company has been faced with multiple lawsuits concerning various criticisms.

The Kerala officials are happy to announce that the transformation from the factory to the covid-19 facility center would take around two weeks. After this, it will be open for patients for people who are either suffering from covid or other mutilating viruses associated with covid.

It is said that the facility will have all the necessary provisions and will be fully equipped so that patients don’t have trouble. This would include oxygen cylinders, medical equipment, beds, bedsheets, ventilators, vaccines, and many such important and helpful products.

It is amazing to see how the government is using up closed spaces to create more room for the covid-19 victims and is helping them by giving good and adequate medical attention. Hope that this facility opens up soon and people get the help they need.
