Lawyer and environmental activist Nikita Jacob who has been in the news recently for her alleged involvement in Greta Thunberg and Disha Ravi’s toolkit case has approached a Delhi court for anticipatory bail.
Nikita who was charged with sedition had availed transit anticipatory bail from Bombay High Court for three weeks with a direction to approach the concerned court in Delhi where a case against her has been registered. The lawyer is facing a case against her for sharing a toolkit relating to the farmer’s protest on social media channels. Her application for anticipatory bail is likely to come up before Additional Sessions Judge Dharmender Rana.
Last month the court granted bail to climate activist Disha Ravi who had been arrested by Delhi Police from Bengaluru. The sessions court in Delhi had also granted protection from arrest to another accused Shantanu Muluk until March 9.
Disha Ravi, Shantanu Muluk and Nikita Jacob are facing sedition and other charges.
