As a move to curb air pollution, especially in Delhi and NCR regions, Prakriti E-Mobility Private Limited, is planning to launch an app-based electric vehicle cab services called ‘Evera’ in the national capital and adjoining areas. Evera will offer a one-of-its-kind 100 per cent electric cab service in Delhi.

Prakriti has signed an agreement with Tata Motors to deploy 500 Tigor electric vehicles in Delhi-NCR. The company in association with Tata Power is also setting up 30 slow chargers and 5 fast chargers to enable taxi drivers to charge their vehicles. An estimated 35 charging centres will be set up in places such as Greater Kailash, Khan Market, Moti Bagh, Connaught Place, Chanakya Puri and Jor Bagh.

These electric vehicles will emit zero carbon dioxide in their lifespan which will help reduce the air pollution. To attract customers Evera will also have zero cancellation charges and the cab drivers cannot cancel their trips unlike other app-based applications like Uber or Ola. The union government is making a push towards adoption of electric vehicles for reducing carbon footprint and Evera will make this dream come true.
