Prime Minister Narendra Modi feeds peacock at his home video goes viral

NEW DELHI:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted a small video online in which he is seen feeding some grains to a peacock at his residence during his morning routine. The video also has glimpses of his daily walk from his home to his office within Lok Kalyan Marg residence.

Sources told media that the Prime Minister is fond of peacocks and he has shared an unbreakable bond with the environment. Modi has at his residence placed elevated structures, normally found in rural India, where birds make their nests. The Prime Minister also posted a Hindi poem, an ode to nature along with the video on his Instagram account and later put it on Twitter as well.

Shri Narendra Modi has authored two books: ‘Convenient Action: Gujarat's Response to Challenges of Climate Change' and ‘Convenient Action- Continuity for Change' where he has penned his vision for the environment. Another of his book titled ‘Aankh Aa Dhanya Che’ originally written in Gujarati was translated into other languages.

Earlier as the chief minister of Gujarat, Modi had ensured that Gujarat was among the first states in India and the world to have a climate change department.
