Ill-famed piracy website TamilRockers leaked the new release “Chhapaak” online within hours of its release and that too with its high definition print for free download according to reports. The movie is directed by Meghna Gulzar, starring Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey.
In spite, of governments' steps to block the website, it is still accessible through proxy servers. Not only “Chhapaak” but also “Darbar” has been leaked too.
Such an incident would have a high impact on Chhapaaks collection however it has earned 4.75 crores in its opening day and expected to do far better than this because of its good reviews and good word-of-mouth till now.
The movie is based on the true story of Laxmi Aggarwal who was attacked by acid when she was 15 and then she filed a Public Interest Litigation which led the Supreme Court imposing restrictions on the sale of acid.
Deepika, in an interview, told that it’s an inspiring story and said that Laxmi is an inspiration. This movie makes Deepikas onset into production.
