Union Minister Piyush Goyal has said that full details of the Indians who deposited money in the Swiss banks will be made public by the end of fiscal 2019. The minister was reacting to the latest data released by Switzerland that money deposited by the Indians jumped over 50 per cent to 1.01 billion Swiss francs in 2017.

“If anybody is found guilty, strict action will be taken against them”, said Railways minister Piyush Goyal who is also the interim Finance minister. The minister added that nobody now has the guts to deposit money outside the country and it is due to the hard measures taken by the government.

“Agreement between India and Switzerland has this. From January 1, 2018 till the end of the accounting year (ends March 31, 2019), all data will be made available. Why assume this is black money or illegal transactions?" Piyush Goyal said.
