D Company fake currency racquet in operation on Indo Bangla border

With assembly polls coming up in Assam and West Bengal, D-Company gangsters masterminded by Dawood Ibrahim are proactive on India-Bangladesh border to push fake Indian currencies printed in Pakistan for using in the upcoming polls.

Intelligent officials told media that security has been beefed up on the borders to prevent cross-border smuggling. Following raids in Nepal, Dawood’s operatives based in Kathmandu and Nepal-Bihar and Nepal-UP borders have shifted their operations to safe hideouts in Bangladesh.

Director General(DG) of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence D.P. Dash who led the country's top revenue intelligence agency in busting several international modules of fake currency gangs told media that Dawood Ibrahim's multi-layered fake currency operation now relies more on his aides based in Bangladesh.

Currency notes are usually of Rs.2000 denomination and seem to have been printed at hi-tech printing facility in Pakistan. Malda district in West Bengal has in recent years become of fake currency smuggling and Murshidabad and Nadia districts have also reported rise in fake currencies.
