New Delhi: Thirty-two flights were diverted as pollution levels crossed the 600 mark in Delhi this morning. The Air Quality Index or AQI rose to 625 from yesterday's 407 level-enveloping the city in a thick blanket of fog that made it difficult to breathe and played havoc with air and road traffic. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal described the situation as "unbearable" and said that the people of Delhi suffered "no fault of theirs." In Delhi's neighbouring areas, pollution levels were also high, forcing the Noida authorities in Uttar Pradesh to shut down schools until Tuesday.
