India stands with UK in time of crisis

New Delhi, March 23: Indian officials strongly condemned the terror attack perpetrated agains the city of London today by an unknown terrorist, leading to four deaths and several injured. The Indian embassy has issued helpline numbers for those trying to get in touch with the friends and family in London in case they cannot find further information regarding their whereabouts. 

Sushma Swaraj further added that initial reports suggest that no Indian was brought to harm in the terror attack which took place on Wednesday on the Westminster bridge and outside the British Parliament. n "India strongly condemns Westminster terrorist incident and condoles the loss of life. No place in democracies and civilised societies for terrorism," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay tweeted.
 
Two persons, including a police officer, were shot at outside Westminster on Wednesday, leading to the lower house of Parliament suspending its proceedings, the media reported.BBC reported that a police officer and a woman have been killed near Parliament in central London in what Scotland Yard was treating as a terrorist incident.
 
"The woman was among several pedestrians struck by a car on Westminster bridge, before it crashed into railings. A police officer was also stabbed in the Houses of Parliament by the attacker who was eventually shot dead by other armed gaurds present at the location," the report said.
