At a time when Maharashtra is hit by widespread drought, the minimum temperature is increasing appreciably all over the state with Bhira which  is a small village in state of Maharashtra located about 150 km from Mumbai turning out to be the hottest place at 43.5 degrees Celsius.
 
Almost every city in Vidarbha, Marathwada and North Maharashtra has crossed the figure of 40 degrees Celsius. The average temperature is 42 degrees Celsius with temperature fluctuating and adding to the temperature day after day. There is constant change in climate with humidity levels in Mumbai making the Mumbaikars perspire heavily. On the other hand, Vidarbha, Marathwada and north Maharashtra are also experiencing light showers. Consequently, there are fluctuations in the temperature. There is slight rise in the temperature of Central Maharashtra.
 
Scattered and light rains are likely in Vidarbha, Marathwada and North
Maharashtra while the climate of Konkan will remain dry.
