At a time when Maharashtra is hit by widespread drought, the minimum temperature is increasing appreciably all over the state with Bhira which is a small village in state of Maharashtra located about 150 km from Mumbai turning out to be the hottest place at 43.5 degrees Celsius.
Almost every city in Vidarbha, Marathwada and North Maharashtra has crossed the figure of 40 degrees Celsius. The average temperature is 42 degrees Celsius with temperature fluctuating and adding to the temperature day after day.
