Uddhav Thackeray led the government of Maharashtra officially announced the list of portfolios to be assigned to the new government ministers.NCP's Ajit Pawar, who joined hands with former CM Devendra Fadnavis and became Deputy CM for a short time, was given the Ministry of Finance while the Home Ministry was pocketed by NCP leader Anil Deshmukh. Aaditya Thackeray, a first time MLA and son of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, was handed over the Tourism, Environment and Protocol Ministry. The Ministry of Urban Development was granted to the Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde. The Ministry of Industry and Mining was entrusted to veteran leader Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai. Revenue Ministry has been handed over to Maharashtra Congress President Balasaheb Thorat and former chief minister Ashok Chavan will take over as PWD minister. Another representative of the Congress, Nitin Raut, will look after the Ministry of Electricity. Departments of Water Resources, Food and Civil Supplies, Excise and Social Justice have been assigned to NCP MLAs Jayant Patil, Chhagan Bhujbal, Dilip Walse Patil and Dhananjay Munde, respectively. NCP leaders Nawab Malik was charged with the Minority, while Jitendra Awhad was pocketing the development of housing.
