Even as Salman Khan decided to bat for his Pakistani counter parts and others joined him in their support, Pakistani establishment has banned all Indian films in their theatres in support of their armed forces. Fawad Khan too came in support of his government and stated that nothing was more important than nation and India has shown to the world that it has a small heart.

The Pakistani response at least seems more in tune with their nationalist mood in the wake of the surgical strikes carried out by Indian para commandoes inside PoK on September 28. Amidst the heightened tensions Lahore’s super Cinema the country’s largest cinema house announced on its fb page that all Indian films are henceforth banned indefinitely. All major cinema halls later followed this across Pakistan including Karachi’s Nueplex cinema. They have urged the government to block all sources of pirated video cds from getting circulated as well in order to completely ban Indian cinema from getting screened in Pakistan.

“As a mark of our support for our forces we will not play any Indian movies with immediate effect”, stated Nueplex cinema management in a press release. The Pakistani film industry will suffer losses upto 70% if ties with Bollywood worsen and movies remain banned but the support for the Pakistani Government and forces is utmost at this hour of crisis in Pakistan.

The threats haven’t stopped here, in a street rally in Lahore Hafeez Saeed international terrorist and JeM head warned that soon India will realize the meaning of surgical strike soon when Pakistan will retaliate. Pakistani officials even blocked the entry of an Indian official to participate at the recently held Asian Trade Promotion forum CEO meet in Lahore. Pakistan withheld the documents of the Indian representative.
