Delhi has been the epicentre of anti-CAA demonstrations and witnessed violent clashes between people supporting the citizenship amendment act and opposing it has been in spotlight for some time now. At least 500 vehicles and 79 houses besides other properties have been reportedly torched and burnt down.

As per official data from Delhi’s fire department, 79 houses, 52 shops, 3 factories and 2 schools besides places of worship have been burnt down in the riots so far. A senior official told media that at least 1,000 trips would have been done by fire fighting vehicles in the affected areas in North East Delhi.

The official also revealed that the department received 28 malicious calls and 15 genuine ones.
