US-based investment bank Goldman Sachs, has reached an agreement with medical device maker BPL Medical Technologies to invest Rs 110 crore in BPL Medical Technologies.
BPL Medical, which was established in 1963, distributes products such as electrocardiographs and defibrillator through dealers across the country.
The funds will be used to expand the company's business, Goldman and BPL said in a joint statement on Monday. Last week, Goldman Sachs has invested 110 cr in cable operator DEN Networks Ltd last week.
Goldman Sachs has made its investments in 30 companies in healthcare sector across the globe. The company has also bought stakes in Nova Medical Centres, which is a surgical care and fertility Clinics Company based in India at a cost of $54 million.
