Foreign Institutional investors are seems to be happy with the Indian market as the current investment data suggest a record investment inflow.
 
FII ownership in benchmark stock index stocks or Sensex stocks hit an 8 year high in January-March quarter, Bank of America-Merrill Lynch said in a note to its clients.
 
During the quarter of January-March, FIIs were net buyers while state run insurance company, LIC and domestic mutual funds were sellers.
 
Axis Bank Ltd, NTPC Ltd, Tata Consultancy, Infosys Ltd, and ITC were the key index stocks purchased by FIIs.
 
FIIs were net buyers for 15 consecutive sessions, bringing their total investment for the year to $12.70 billion, regulatory data showed.
